Announcement 0.3
From WikiPlee
Here is the announcement of the release 0.3 of July 2008.
After three months of work, the third release of Plee the Bear is finally out, a bit late. This release improves the engine a little more. For the physics part, we now have an easy-to-use system to force an item to follow a path, the collision detection is more efficient, the friction with the grounds are better handled and we can apply different frictions to the items in different areas of the level. The audio system is more flexible and the volume of the music and the sounds can now be adjusted (you can play at work ;)). The rendering process is also faster and the control of the animations is based on time instead of frames. Some bugs have been fixed, including the boring loss of textures when switching in fullscreen/windowed mode under MS Windows. We also have adjusted the behavior of Plee, hope it will be much more controllable. Thanks to Karl Ove Hufthammer, the game is now translated in Norwegian Nynorsk. Unfortunately, there is still no new level or characters. So, even if the goals of the next release are not defined yet, we are thinking about stopping the improvements of the engine and focus on the game itself. See you for the next release with (maybe) a first real level :) Julien Jorge, Sébastien Angibaud Gamned Studio
